“White Square: figures, results, impressions

May 20, the V International Festival of Marketing and Advertising “White Square” ended in Minsk.
The awarding ceremony took place at the site of the cultural and business center “Moscow House”. A total of 33 gold, 58 silver and 89 bronze “white squares”, 3 special jury prizes, 2 media prizes and 1 grand prize of the festival were awarded at the ceremony. Awarding took place in 13 contests and 74 nominations.

At the final press-conference of the jury chairmen the issues of the festival level in general, of the current year's works, as well as the strategies of project presentation by agencies within the festival were discussed. There were mixed opinions: in particular, it was noted that the festival received a sufficient number of good works, but there were no radically new solutions. The participants of the press conference also did not like the fact that the same projects were submitted in different nominations.

The general impression of the level of organization of the festival was unambiguous. Olga Mosina, art director of Brandiziac agency, who worked at the festival as a member of the jury of graphic and communication design, shares her assessment: “I must give credit to the organizers, they tried very hard, and everything turned out as good as possible. The atmosphere was very friendly, disposed to communication and exchange of experience. I got a lot of positive emotions from the festival, I feel very energized”.
