NOVODMITROVSKAYA: CONVENIENT OFFICE SPACE FROM A FORMER PRINTING HOUSE

The peculiarity of this object was its reconstruction from a vast space of a Soviet printing house into an office and warehouse space. The complex internal logistics of the building, the presence of through passageways and dead-end branches, a large number of tenants in need of a high-quality orientation system - all this formed the basis of our solution. It was necessary to create a budget-friendly, universal multi-level tool with office and warehouse navigation, convenient for the majority of tenants.
The design concept was dictated by the architecture of the building itself: a graphite facade and yellow tiled walls. We liked the idea of square tiles as the ideal shape for a room with complex geometry, where wide rectangles with information are not always optimally placed. Three colors were taken as a basis. Yellow is a marking present on the signs, or in the end point (office number, toilet, elevator, etc.), as well as - a bright accent of edging elements. White is the navigation for the office area and graphite for the warehouse area.

The result was a functional navigation system, which is organically perceived at all levels: outside, where drivers need to quickly navigate, at each entrance and exit, as well as throughout the interior of the facility (passages, stairwells, corridors, storage areas, etc.).
